Street Cleanup Dates Rolling Out.

The May 2013 Street Cleanup Schedule is starting to take shape.  There may be changes due to weather; rain dates will be posted for some locations.  Our Street Cleaning Captains have decided to focus on monthly cleanups in the areas that need it most.

May 9th-Lilac Street Cleanup
May 17th-Read/Cave Street Cleanup
May 23rd-Winchester Street Cleanup

More streets and blocks will be added to the schedule.  Notification will be available on the blog or by email.

Impromptu Highland Street Cleanup.

Thursday, April 18th at 11:00am we will be supporting LaMonna in her initial Highland Street Cleanup.  We are going to take advantage of the fact that children are on vacation this week.

If you can come and help out our youngest Street Cleaning Captain; we would love to have you.  Please bring your own gloves, bags and a few tools.  The meeting place is 283 Highland @ 11:00am.

Please congratulate our youngest Street Cleaning Captain Volunteer!  This is LaMonna; an industrious young lady who is the Street Cleaning Captain for Highland Street.

Street Cleanups have been organized for Cave, Read, Huntington, Lilac, Highland and Winchester.  Volunteers needed for other streets; please email newhallville.community.matters@gmail.com.  We will be sending out the dates and raindates for our future cleanups.

Newhallville & Yale Architecture Community Event. Saturday 4.6.2013.

All Newhallville residents are encouraged to join your neighbors this Saturday, 4/6 on Lilac Street for a community event.

From 10am to 4pm, you will be able to have your opinions about Newhallville documented in a one-of-a-kind mapping event.  And while this is a new concept for our neighborhood, it has been successfully done here.

New Haven REACH Event for All College-Bound Students.

New Haven REACH would like all college-bound students (Class of 2014) to know they are invited to "College App 101". 

This event will take place Sunday, April 21st from 1:00 to 4:30 at the Co-Op Center for Creativity (192 College Street).
