Solar Youth Sign Up Fall 2014.

Solar Youth is starting their programming in Newhallville this week!  Through hands on games and experiences youth ages 4-13 explore the environment and learn to be problem solvers in their community.

The program also provides homework help, healthy snacks, field trips and requires no fees.  Please contact Sarah Morrison at Solar Youth office 203.387.4189 for more information.

Reflections of Back to School Event 2014.

From the bottom of our hearts, Kali and I thank each and every one who contributed, supported and rallied around us as we coordinated the Back to School 2014 Event.

We exceeded our goal and distributed more than 150 backpacks to our families!

Let's acknowledge Fit Haven for coming out and getting our kids moving.  Elite Dance Studio for getting us stretched for all the dancing.  Guns Down, Books Up for making sure our kids had books to fill those backpacks.  Last, but not least, Cookie Curson for face painting with every single child that attended!

We enjoyed every minute of it; but we are exhausted!  See you in a month to brainstorm and organize more good for our community in late 2014, early 2015.
